Charleston is available for hire as a location for filming and photoshoots. Over the last few years the house has been the backdrop for a range of high profile magazine features, mail-order catalogues and television programmes.
The glowing colours of the painted interiors, the abundant artists’ garden and the beautiful surrounding landscape make Charleston an inspiring and arresting setting for photography or film.
We understand the needs of the creative team on a busy shoot, and provide a warm and comfortable ‘green room’, big enough to serve as wardrobe, hair, make up and café. Furthermore, a Charleston staff member will be on hand all day, acting as guide around the historic setting and helping you to get the most out of your shoot.
Please contact Darren Clarke on 01323 811626 or email@example.com for rates and availability.
There are a number of spaces available to hire for your next event. Whether for a meeting, training day, drinks reception or birthday party, we offer something unique and inspiring.
The Outer Studio is perfect for a small reception, training session, seminar or intimate lunch. It seats up to 30 people theatre style or 15 people boardroom.
The Pottery is a light and airy room suitable for smaller groups. It can seat up to 15 people theatre style or 15 people boardroom.
The Outer Studio and Pottery are interconnecting rooms which makes them ideal for a stand up drinks reception where up to 50 guests can be accommodated.
Both rooms have the additional benefit of being able to access the Folly Garden, a beautiful, private courtyard garden.
These rooms are available all year round although restrictions on days and times may apply.
The Walled Garden is a fabulous example of an English Country garden and was designed to be as colourful as possible so that the artists Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell could use it as inspiration. With the South Downs as a breath-taking back drop it is a wonderful place to hold a family gathering during the summer months.
We can provide a range of catering options suitable for your event including homemade soups and cakes, locally sourced cheeses and seasonal salads.
Tours of the house can be arranged for your group (subject to availability and time of year)
We can recommend places for overnight accommodation and pass on special Charleston discounts
