Exploring Story Worlds : This one-day workshop is an opportunity for you to work with award-winning short fiction writer K J Orr. She will guide you through a series of exercises designed to help you become better attuned to those things that really hold charge for you as a writer and capture your attention. This workshop is aimed at adults with an interest in, though not necessarily any prior experience of, creative writing and will be limited to 15 places.  Read More

Writing for Radio : This one-day workshop is aimed at those with some prior creative writing experience, in any format will explore the craft of writing stories for radio and other aural outlets. With Liz Allard and Alison MacCleod who have produced and written for radio extensively.  Read More

Small Wonder Story Salon : Get to know the authors’ work ahead of the festival and discover new favourites with wine and lively conversation at a special candlelit story salon. Read More

Open Mic at On Islands event : your chance to perform your own original work – a 10 minute slot on the subject of Islands.  Budding and new writers should sign up ahead of time of the event on the day in The Nook at Charleston. Read More

Small Wonder Reading group : Join us to read a selection of stories from the weekend’s authors, we will read a variety of stories aloud, followed by lively discussion. Read More
