The Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award, the world’s richest prize for a single story, is known for its international range, the quality of its winners and shortlisted authors and its discovery of new talent.
Three of the 2017 judges – Man Booker winner Anne Enright (whose latest novel is The Green Road), Man Booker shortlisted novelist Neel Mukherjee (whose current novel is State of Freedom) and Sunday Times Literary Editor Andrew Holgate – discuss the art and current state of the short story and how reading ‘blind’ affects their judgement. Anne Enright, inaugural Laureate of Irish Fiction, will also read from her own work.
This is an unmissable opportunity to hear Booker-Prize-winning writer Anne Enright read and talk about her work during a whistle-stop trip (less than 24 hours) from Ireland to the UK.
