Charleston Farmhouse and its surrounding landscape was the inspiration for much of the work of the Bloomsbury Group. And in turn, their work has become an inspiration in itself.
This art and garden workshop, is an opportunity to explore the interface between the visual art, the spoken word and creative gardening. To draw inspiration from the house, the garden and the work at Charleston in order to develop your own, original planting scheme.
We will spend time enjoying and analysing the work in the house and garden, before moving on to use the colours and themes to design new planting schemes based on what we see.
This day is for anyone who enjoys experimenting, playing with colour and creating new planting schemes.
No gardening or artistic experience is necessary.
