300,000 Kisses

Discover the unravelled queer love stories of the ancient world brought to life in this collaboration between artist Luke Edward Hall and poet Seán Hewitt

‘Steeped in honey, Juventius,
your golden eyes, and as sweet too
when I press my lips to them –
three hundred thousand kisses
is not close to enough’

Discover the unravelled queer stories of the ancient world, with poet Seán Hewitt and artist Luke Edward Hall, newly revealed within their recent book ‘300,000 Kisses’.

Bringing together 40 of the most exhilarating tales, they place a new and colourful lens on Greek and Roman love and desire in literary tradition – and reflect on the puritanism of our own.

This conversation is chaired by poet Nikita Gill.

‘This lithe, rich anthology of stunning poetry and beguiling stories of queer love from the ancient world pulses with desire, lust, loss and seduction’
