Charleston has submitted an application for £2.1m to the government’s Local Enterprise Partnership’s Local Growth Fund, Round 3, to be announced at the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement. If successful, these funds would enable us to complete the Centenary Project. Our application has now been included within 41 bids submitted by the South East Local Enterprise Partnership for consideration by government. As the only directly cultural bid in an excellent mix of economic development projects, we believe Charleston has a key role to play in supporting a creative and innovative approach to economic and tourism development in the South East.
