John Crace explores why trust in politics has hit breaking point with comedian Rosie Holt

John Crace is The Guardian’s parliamentary sketch writer. His latest book ‘Depraved New World’ captures British politics at its most absurd, from ‘partygate’, through the melodrama of leadership contests and the shenanigans of the party front bench.

Comedian and writer Rosie Holt became a viral sensation over lockdown when she created satirical videos of a fake politician who many people continue to mistake as real.

Alongside Isabel Hardman,  assistant editor of The Spectator and author of ‘Why We Get the Wrong Politicians‘, they will be talking about how trust in our elected officials has been strained to breaking point, while providing some desperately needed comic relief.
