Downland Walk from Rodmell
Wednesday 13 August
10.30am – 3.30pm • Tickets £15 include a guided walk and lunch.
This six mile walk – a favourite of Virginia and Leonard Woolf - will set off from the car park of the Abergavenny Arms on the top road in Rodmell and continue along a narrow road that leads up to cross the South Downs Way.The walk will go west, passing a beautifully restored dewpond, and then follow a track leading round to meet the South Downs Way.The return journey will offer magnificent views of the sea and coastline.We will have lunch at the Abergavenny Arms and nearby Monk’s House, the home of Virginia and Leonard Woolf, will be open to the public in the afternoon.
