Events: All events last just over an hour, unless otherwise stated, and take place in marquee in the beautiful grounds of Charleston.   The venue can get chilly at night, so please dress warmly.  Surfaces can be uneven.

Car Parking:  We are fortunate to be able to offer free car parking on a field adjacent to the site.  It is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the marquee. Please be warned the field can get muddy in poor weather.  Drive carefully, take advice from our car parking team, and wear suitable footwear.

Shuttle Bus Service:  Cuckmere Community Bus Service will run a shuttle to/from Lewes rail station and Charleston before and after each event.    Collection point is outside Lewes Rail Station.  Tickets can be purchased on board the bus £2 single/£3 return. The Shuttle Bus timetable will available in March.

Book Shop/Author Signings: Run by City Books, the Festival bookshop stocks a wide range of related book titles. Most speakers will be signing after their event.

Charleston Shop: Open throughout the Festival and stocking a wide range of Bloomsbury-inspired books, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, prints and gift ideas. [Link to Shop page]

House:  Make the most of your Festival visit by booking a House Tour to enjoy the glorious interiors painted by Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant.   [link to house tour page]

Food & Drink:  Drinks are available from the Festival Bar inside the main marquee. The Festival Tea Tent will also serve a selection of delicious cakes, drinks, sandwiches and light bites. For something more hearty hot food will be on offer from gourmet catering stalls.  All open one hour before the first event – until the start of the last event.

Picnic Area: There are many nice spots to picnic at Charleston and we politely request that furniture is only used in designated areas to protect the delicate historic planting in the gardens.

Using Credit/Debit Cards: Our Festival Bar, Box Office and Tea Tent can accept CASH ONLY.  The Charleston Shop can take payment for purchases using credit and debit cards, cash and cheques made payable to The Charleston Trust. The Charleston Shop can also offer cash back of up to £40 per person on Debit Card purchases.

Access: There are designated disabled parking spaces. The marquee, bar, tea tent and bookshop are accessible to wheelchair users though some surfaces may be slightly uneven. An induction loop is fitted in the marquee for the hard of hearing.
