The Charleston-Chichester Award
To celebrate our 10th anniversary we joined forces with the University of Chichester to establish a major new annual literary award. The Charleston-Chichester Award for a Lifetime’s Excellence in Short Fiction will recognise long-standing creativity and achievement in writing short stories.
The acclaimed Irish writer William Trevor was announced as the first winner of the award at a special event on 29th September. Tony Lacey, Trevor’s longtime editor at Penguin, accepted the award on his behalf. You can listen to an exclusive interview with William Trevor and Diana Reich HERE.
