To mark the Olympics, the BBC and Book Trust embarked on a world-wide quest for the best international short story. Judges of the prestigious BBC Award, Ross Raison, Michele Roberts and Di Speirs, will be joined by two of the short-listed writers, Lucy Caldwell and Miro Penkov. Ross Raison’s novels include God’s Own Country and Waterline; his stories have appeared in the Guardian and Prospect. Michele Roberts is an acclaimed novelist and short story writer. Her latest book is Ignorance. Di Speirs is BBC4 Editor, Readings. Participating short listed writers will be announced after 16th September on the Small Wonder website.
