Seasonal produce

We aim to cook with seasonal ingredients to ensure we use British produce whenever possible as well as ensuring we present food with the best flavour and quality.

Sourcing Locally

We try to source as many of our products as locally as possible. Currently we purchase from the following local producers:

Deerview Fine Sussex Foods

Flint Owl Bakery

Rye Bay Coffee Company

Folkington’s Juices

Sticky Fingers

Tastables of Brighton

Long Man Brewery

High Weald Dairy

Turners Fine Foods

Southover Food Company

We recycle all of the glass, plastic and cardboard that our produce arrives in and where possible we reuse for storage in the café.

Our fruit and vegetable waste is composted here in the Charleston Garden

 Responsible Production

We buy our coffee from The Rye Bay Coffee Company where the coffee comes directly from a family-owned business in Honduras.  The coffee beans are grown in  sustainable conditions without the use of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides.
