EasyFundraising with your online shopping
The Charleston Trust has recently signed up to a new fundraising scheme called Easy Fundraising, an initiative that allows charities to collect donations from their supporters as they go about their online shopping at no extra cost to the supporter. Many retailers such as Amazon and John Lewis are signed up to the scheme – Find out more how you can support us, we would be so grateful
Our ambitious £8.5m Centenary Project will help safeguard Charleston’s heritage, address its real needs as an organisation and museum and provide it with a sustainable and financially secure future.
Through a programme of sensitive restoration, preservation and development, we plan to restore the Grade II listed Barns, rebuild the historic Granary and improve access. We will also increase the scale of our education resources, to inspire art and ideas, with schools and local community groups.
We have successfully raised two thirds of our £8.5m target, but a further £2.8m is urgently needed to complete this project. We hope you can support the Centenary Project.
Conservation, preservation and maintenance, together with the day-to-day costs of running Charleston as an independent charity, are some of the most difficult areas to fundraise for. The Annual Fund ensures that the House and its collection are protected for future generations to enjoy.
The 2016 Annual Fund aims to achieve the following:
- Improved accessibility including new wheelchairs and hearing loops
- New frame for Vanessa Bell’s painting ‘Wild Flowers’
- Archiving our previously unseen photographic collection
- Annual planting programme for the Garden
- On-site defibrillator
