Starry Starry Night

Introducing the first of our Outsider events, designed to complement the main festival programme. Starry Starry Night is a special family night out under canvas. Our Arabian tent is the creative hub for these fringe events. Matthew De Abaitua will talk about his brilliant new book, the much-lauded The Art of Camping. Huxley's Birds of Prey Centre will bring along a selection of owls and share expert knowledge about these very special nocturnal birds. Pete Goodman will illuminate us about stargazing and the evening will round up with some songs in traditional camp style. Remember to wrap up warm for a starry, starry night to remember.

Submarine

Submarine
Arabian Tent

10pm • £8 including popcorn.
Tickets from Charleston on 01323 811626

Watch the coming of age film Submarine in the cosy enclave of the Arabian tent situated in the orchard. Rolling Stone magazine said; "this astringently funny coming-of-age odyssey is set before the era of cellphone cameras. Submarine ups periscope on Oliver Tate, a 15-year-old Welsh fantasist who sees his life as a home movie, creating scenarios that include his death."
Written by Joe Dunthorne, who will also be appearing on Saturday as part of the festival line up. Warm clothing recommended.
