This year's Small Wonder festival returns 19–22 Oct 2023.

Experience the power of words with Small Wonder festival, a celebration of the shortest forms of writing. From short-stories to essays, songwriting, poetry and journalism, short forms of literature are some of the most immediate, powerful and impactful. Join us for four days of discussions, workshops and family events, featuring leading and emerging voices across literature, journalism, the arts, environment, language, culture and more.

This year’s festival returns from Thursday 19 until Sunday 22 October 2023.

Across the grounds, there will be delicious food stalls, a pop-up bookshop from Brighton and Hove’s City Books, book signings and tasty Italian delights from our café partners Caccia & Tails.
