David ‘Bunny’ Garnett had a bee hive at Charleston during World War I, just as many other rural Sussex homes would have done. Olivier Bell also recalls keeping bees at Cobbe Place in the orchard, where the net result would be a pound of honey. This taster day will give you expert guidance on keeping bees in your garden, in the town or country, and practical advice on how to set up your own hive at home.
