The Quentin Follies Art Auction

The Quentin Follies Art Auction gives you the chance to acquire original works of art generously donated by a wide variety of local and established artists. This year, we have received a wide and exciting variety of original artwork for sale by silent auction, including an illustration by Quentin Blake, a watercolour by Maggi Hambling, photographs by songwriter, poet and photographer Patti Smith, and artworks by Angelica Garnett, Quentin Bell and Cressida Bell.
All the money raised from the auction goes into the Quentin Bell Commemoration Fund, set up in 1997 to retain and return paintings that were originally at Charleston.
Join in the fun and place bids by completing the bid form and post or fax to the Charleston office, or you may place phone or email bids. A minimum of £40 starts off the bidding. To bid online, please send an email to c.baron@charleston.org.uk giving artist, title of work, and amount of your bid without giving your card details (for security reasons), and a telephone number and we will contact you.
The highest bid for each item will be displayed at the auction exhibition at Charleston and on the website until 5pm Friday 4th July. On Saturday 5th July bids will be accepted but not displayed on the website.
If you buy a ticket to The Quentin Follies evening on 5th July you will have the opportunity to see all the latest bids and make your final winning bid before the end of sale at 8pm.
Unless stated all work is 18cm x 24cm and will be unframed.
All artwork sold to absentee bidders will be sent by Special Delivery with a receipt, provenance and details for insurance. Cost of postage will be added to the payment.
