The Quentin Follies Art Auction
1 May – 10 July 2010
The Quentin Follies Art Auction gives you the chance to acquire works of art generously donated by a wide variety of both local and established artists. This year, we have received over 40 original artworks, including original jewellery pieces by Andrew Logan, a pen drawing by Kaffe Fassett, and artworks by Cressida Bell, Harvey Daniels and Thurston Hopkins.
The artworks will be shown online from Saturday 1 May and in the Charleston Garage & Apple Shed from Wednesday 16 June to Friday 9 July 2010. The Charleston Garage & Apple Shed is open from 12.30 – 6pm, Wed – Sun, and entry is free.

To bid online, please send an email to m.okell@charleston.org.uk giving the artist, title of work, amount of your bid and your telephone number. We will then contact you by telephone for payment details. For security reasons, please do not send your credit card details to us by email.

The minimum bid for an artwork is £40. Unless stated all work will be unframed. However, it may be possible to purchase the frame separately. Please let us know if you are interested in purchasing the frame for your artwork.
The highest bid for each item will be displayed at the auction exhibition at Charleston and on the website until 5pm Friday 10 July. On Saturday 10 July bids will be accepted, but will not displayed on the website.
If you buy a ticket to The Quentin Follies evening on 10 July 2010 you will have a final opportunity to see all the artworks and to make a final bid before the end of the auction at 8pm.
All artwork sold to absentee bidders will be sent by Recorded Delivery with a receipt. Cost of Recorded Delivery postage will be added to the payment.
All the money raised from the auction goes into the Quentin Bell Commemoration Fund, set up in 1997 to acquire paintings that were originally at Charleston.
Please support Charleston by bidding for your favourite artwork or coming to the Quentin Follies event on Saturday 10 July 2010.
