Andrew Motion, Joydeep Roy-Bhattacharya and Francesca Segal with Jenny Uglow
3:30pm Tickets £13
Celebrating the revival of Virginia and Leonard Woolf’s Hogarth Press, three authors re-imagine well loved classics. Hot off the re-launched press, Joydeep Roy-Bhattacharya’s exciting and timely The Watch, set in present day Afghanistan, is a re-telling of Antigone, with a grieving sister at its centre. Andrew Motion’s gripping Silver is a sequel to Treasure Island: Jim Hawkins’ son and Long John Silver’s daughter set off in the footsteps of their fathers… Francesca Segal’s The Innocents, a modern love story revolving around conflict between commitment and desire, is inspired by Edith Wharton. Jenny Uglow, editor and author, presides over the celebrations.
